Key Findings from the Pre- and Post-Workshop Survey

Improvement in Study Skills:

  • The percentage of students who reported knowing how to study increased from 50% (pre-workshop) to 59% (post-workshop).
  • A significant drop in students responded “Sort of,” indicating increased clarity about their study skills.

Better Test Preparation:

  • Students who reported knowing how to prepare for tests increased from 44% to 61%.
  •  The “No” responses decreased from 22% to 14%, reflecting a reduction in uncertainty about test preparation.

Enhanced Time Management:

  •  The percentage of students who felt confident in managing their time increased from 42% to 54%.
  •  The number of students expressing uncertainty (“Sort of” or “No”) about time management decreased, indicating a better understanding and application of time management strategies.

Summary:
The workshop significantly improved students’ confidence in studying, preparing for tests, and managing their time.

Parameters:

  • Two cohorts of approximately 25 students each participated in the Essential Study Skills & Executive Function Workshop.
  • Each student participated in a total of 4.5 hours of instruction.
  • Six sessions of 45 minutes in length were offered over six consecutive weeks.
